WI coach says batsmen 'gifted' wickets to Shadab

After being bamboozled by young all-rounder Shadab Khan during the ongoing T20i series, West Indies coach Stuart Law has said that his batsmen ‘gifted’ some wickets away, adding that his men should’ve been more ruthless against the youngster, espncricinfo reported.
18-year-old has picked up seven wickets in the two T20is that he has played so far with an average of 3, strike-rate of 6.8 and economy of 2.6.
The youngster came into the spotlight after performing for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League 2017, where a number of batsmen failed to pick his googly, the most devastating weapon in the bowler’s armoury.
Law said that Shadab has bowled well in the series but many of his batsmen had ‘gifted’ their wickets to him.
"He's bowled very well, but I think we've gifted him a few wickets as well. I think we just need to be a little bit more ruthless against him and see what transpires after that."
Experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik was also praising the young talent.
"I must appreciate and praise Shadab for the way he has been conducting himself, and taking wickets," Malik said.
"Obviously we all know, if you're playing against West Indies, you have to keep taking wickets. They are big guys, they hit boundaries and I think this is what we have been doing."
The third T20i between the two teams would be played on Saturday.
